Why This Site Exists
Manhattan Beach has no separate recorder or county courthouse. The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk keeps recorded land instruments and county vital records, the Assessor ties addresses to parcels, and Los Angeles Superior Court runs the county case systems. City Hall manages local legislative, permit, contract, and departmental records. California adds voter-file law, business filings, professional licenses, vital-record rules, and privacy programs. We organize those search paths, contacts, and limits around the fact a reader already has.
What We Provide
- Records by subject: public records, voter registration records, and people directories
- Named keepers: the city clerk, county recorder, assessor, courts, elections office, vital-record offices, and libraries
- Practical search routes: court names, parcel addresses, official filings, and historical directory collections
- Access boundaries: what California law permits, what is restricted, and where to request material not found online
What We Do Not Do
This is a privately operated reference site. It is not part of the City of Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles County, the State of California, any court, or any records office. Those boundaries mean:
- We do not retrieve, certify, amend, or remove records for anyone
- We cannot verify that a named person currently lives in Manhattan Beach
- We do not control government files or information held by outside databases
- We cannot provide legal advice or interpret a record for a personal matter
- We cannot promise that every portal, fee, office hour, or procedure is unchanged
The custodian alone can confirm, certify, or correct its record. This site is not a consumer reporting agency, and its information cannot be used for any FCRA-regulated decision.
